It isn’t an understatement for us to say that this is the way up there with the finest versions of this perennial favorite white wine that we’ve tasted to date. For almost 15 years now, Karen & Bryan are ultra-passionate believers in Haut Rian, but sometimes our passion leads us to seriousness and we become too cerebral in describing the wine forgetting its true "je ne sais quoi" sensibility, don't think, just drink!
Expressive as all get out, fresh and flirtatious! White grapefruit aromas surround subtle mineral, herbs and a kiss of passionfruit. Cool and mouth-coating fruit that has ample nervy, twangy, minerally/citrus briskness. Le bouche de lumière! Exciting and exquisitely lengthy. Yet another winner and an absolute gem of a white wine value that should be ordered and consumed by the trunkload!!!

Meaty raspberry fruit with fennel, licorice and herbs riding shotgun. Alluring aromatics lead into an equally alluring palate. Saline, serious lemon/berry mineral. Pulsating, radiating, elevating, meditating, vibrating!! Elegantly positioned and impressively lingering.

Not only does this wine have a big pleasure factor, it has more dimension than ever should be in a 12 dollar wine. A red wine to enjoy with so many dishes. We’ve gone on for the last several years about just how fabulous Michel’s red wines are and once again, this one doesn’t disappoint. Cuvée Prestige is the apex red of the Haut-Rian line-up and the 2010 is a masterpiece.
From 35-30 year old vines, this is a darker and deeply-colored wine with a presence of cassis, Italian plum and vanilla along with undertones of sage, North African spice and anise. Layered and with good impact in the mouth, Loads of depth but plenty of spine and firm Cabernet character. Broad-scaled yet very smooth finish that spreads out very nicely. Ample character and aging potential although this is pretty damn irresistible at the moment!
