Robinson Reserve is from a warmer site which allowed the pins to be set for their 2007s to be terrific, balanced and smooth wines. Drinking wonderfully now, aromas of red and black cherry mingle with jasmine, nutmeg and earth tones that carry over to a texture that is velvety, resolved, engaging and classy. Plenty of length and detail, this wine can be enjoyed with friends but certainly carries over to the dinner table, too. As we have mentioned, 2007 is a perfect vintage to consume while you wait for the 2008s!! Enjoy over the next 2-4 years with roasted chicken, mushroom-based pasta or Vietnamese-inspired beef dishes.
