2009 MT. VEEDER NAPA CABERNET SAUVIGNON
[reg. $44.99]
SPECIAL PRICE - $24.99 BTL./$299.88 CASE
A hell of a special deal on one of Napa Valley's famous names, this mountain fruit Cabernet Sauvignon is superb for 25 bucks! A full-bodied sensuous beast which reveals classic Napa aromas of bold, dark plum-pepper, allspice, cinnamon, violet and hot rock. High elevation notes of red tones co-exist nicely with saturated, chewy blue tones; a real mouthful of Cabernet doing its stuff as it moves throughout the palate. Through all of this, it maintains freshness which calls you back for another glass and another and another, etc., etc. The finish is penetrating and dense and reveals mocha-laced raspberry red tones and sticks around for a long time. Wow! Drink through 2020+.
2008 PAOLO PETRILLI C'ACCE MMITA DI LUCERA
"AGRAMENTE"
[reg. $31.99]
SPECIAL PRICE - $21.99 BTL./$131.94 SIX PACK CASE CASE
The Petrilli Estate is located in Northern Puglia, in the region of Daunia, near the town of Lucera. Paolo and Paola Petrilli have lived lifelong in this area, and have made an enormous reputation growing some of the finest organic pomodori (tomatoes) in all of Italy. Their crop, from just 12 acres of tomatoes, sells out every year and Paolo applies the same philosophy to his wines as he does to the pomodori: better to limit production and make the best possible product. Paolo flatly states to that his production will always be limited to whatever he was able to vinify from that 24 acres.
Consistently over the last several years, the Agramente from the obscure Northern Puglia region of C'acce Mmita di Lucera has become one of Bryan's favorite Italian reds. Made from a blend of 60% Nero di Troia, 15% Sangiovese, 15% Bombino, 10% Montepulciano and aged entirely in tank, this most compelling and engaging Southern Italian red is Italian hedonism at its finest!
A hearty red wine which shows off plenty of a combination of savory raspberry, blackberry, smoked earth, rosemary and sage; in the mouth, robust and mouth-filling flavors with sensual fruit on the surface, gives the impression of being easy and promiscuous, but in actuality, it is a lot more complex and cerebral than what is seems. The finish is spicy and stunningly long. A wine with attitude requires food with attitude and we recommend pasta with buffalo meatballs or some ripe cheese that will permeate throughout the room! This is some serious next-level juice! Drink this stunner over the next decade.

2010 MCKINLAY PINOT NOIR WILLAMETTE VALLEY
$16.99 BTL./$203.88 CASE
$16.99 BTL./$203.88 CASE
You will never find McKinlay wines listed in The Wine Spectator, The Wine Advocate or any other wine media publication. The reclusive Matt Kinne refuses to submit samples. In the mouth it is medium-bodied, silky, refined and very airy with lots of flesh and earth notes on the finish. Drink this best buy Oregon pinot now through 2016.

The latest version of this fizzy drop extremely exudes finesse and tiny bubbles. 2006 GIUSEPPE MASCARELLO BARBERA D'ALBA SUPERIORE
"SCUDETTO"
$31.99 BTL./$383.88 CASE
$31.99 BTL./$383.88 CASE
Having been producing Barolo, Barbera and Dolcetto since 1881, the phenomenal traditionalist house of Giuseppe Mascarello kills it from their top-level Monprivato Barolo all the way to their quaffing Freisa. The current Mascarello in charge is the dynamic (and showman) Mauro Mascarello. Consistently we see greatness emerge from his Cantine and in the amazing 2006 vintage, he's got the volume of complexity turned up to the maximum.
From a single vineyard in quite a respectable neighborhood, Scudetto is located in Monforte D'Alba and right at the border of Castiglione Falletto, 2 of Barolo's Grand Cru villages. Also bearing the Superiore designation, this wine is aged in large oak casks for 18 months and then held in bottle for a year before release, all required to carry the Superiore tag. At age 6, this Barbera is starting to become operatic. Aromas that speak more of Piemonte than grape varietal swirl from the glass, with violet, dried rose pedal, dark chocolate, mushroom cap, anise and smoked earth. Rich red fruits smoothly coat the mouth with cardamom and roasted espresso bean following on a vibrant and really persistent finish. The intense complexity that this wine is noted for is just beginning to peak out right now and will continue to develop and drink exquisitely for another 4-5 years.

2011 LES PERLES PIQUEPOUL
$9.99 BTL./$119.88 CASE
$9.99 BTL./$119.88 CASE
From Languedoc and sometimes referred to as "the Muscadet of the South, the name of the grape, Piquepoul literally translates to "lip-stinger". Delivering exhilarating floral hints with lemon, lime and mineral, it's truly one of those great wines to keep around the house. At $10.00 per bottle, you can sit it, slurp it, cook with it, and as Bryan likes to joke, shower with it…although you may get fired from your job if you take his advice! While Piquepoul may not be a household name, it should be your household dry, crisp white wine.
2011 COLONIAS LAS LIBERAS BONARDA
$9.99 BTL./$119.88 CASE
$9.99 BTL./$119.88 CASE
Colonias Las Liberas is made by Altos Las Hormigas, the same great folks who deliver one of Argentina's yummiest Malbecs. Like Malbec, the Bonarda grape has been present in Argentina for generations and was brought to the country by Italians in the 19th century. Uncomplicated, plummy, pure and mouthfilling tones of nutmeg and vanilla nicely enhance this terrific, everyday value. The ultimate Argentine pizza wine! Drink with fish, chicken, burgers, too.

96 POINTS - THE WINE ADVOCATE
$26.99 - HALF BOTTLE
96 POINTS - THE WINE ADVOCATE
The Denominación de Origen region of Montilla-Moriles is in the southern part of the province of Córdoba near Andalusia. This region produces mainly fortified dessert wines using similar techniques to those used for the production of sherry, and with this particular wine, the Solera technique. Made from the Pedro Ximenez (PX) grape, the mainstay of this region, Alvear's 1927 PX has received numerous accolades including a bombastic 96 point score from The Wine Advocate:
"The impressive 1927 Pedro Ximenez Solera, from a Solera begun nearly 80 years ago, boasts a dark amber color as well as an extraordinary nose of creme brulée, liquefied nuts, marmalade, and maple syrup. Huge and viscous, yet neither cloyingly sweet nor heavy, it is a profound....It is meant to be drunk alone at the end of a meal. - 96 POINTS - THE WINE ADVOCATE"
