2014 CROWLEY PINOT NOIR
WILLAMETTE VALLEY
$23.99 BTL./$287.88 CASE

Commencing with his first wine in vintage 2006, we instantly were able to grasp that Tyson Crowley was going to be a formidable force when it comes to fine Oregon Pinot Noir. Having honed his craft previously at Cameron and others Tyson has been able to take those lessons and equate them into his own work.

The 2014 Crowley is an achingly beautiful Pinot Noir value that has enticing and beautifully aromatic aromas of crushed black raspberry, violet and cinnamon that shine brightly from the glass. In the mouth, the wine is stylish and refined with an abundance of penetrating fruit along with sneaky structure. The finish is suave and understated with a hint of allspice and cocoa from oak. This gorgeous Pinot will pair wonderfully with veal chops and will drink and develop wonderfully through 2023.

2013 CROWLEY PINOT NOIR
'ENTRE NOUS'
$29.99 BTL./$359.88 CASE

A significant step up in the Crowley line of Pinot Noirs is the Entre Nous cuvee. Coming from a blend of Four Winds vineyard in the Coast Range along with grapes from Chehalem Mountain based Laurel Hood Vineyard; this Pinot is unbelievably poised and packed with the complexities and diversity that each site brings.

Gorgeous and oh so classic pinot noir nose of lavender, violet, mulled spice, earth and pepper with undertones of mushroom providing instant complexity and transparency. Texturally, it is quite giving with a ripe and silky texture, and a sense of deep perfume that speaks clearly. The palate’s flavors are indicative of the combination of sites, with the Four Winds bringing backbone and firmness to the pleasurable aspects of the Laurel Hood. Sensuous and prototype, top-drawer Oregon Pinot, these aspects carry on to the finish that maintains a finesseful pure character that is present throughout the wine. Lacy, elegant and accessible but it will age gracefully for 8-10 years easily.

2014 CROWLEY CHARDONNAY
WILLAMETTE VALLEY
$23.99 BTL./$287.88 CASE

Oregon Chardonnay is quickly become a hot topic these days especially given the superb quality of what is emerging from many wineries. Tyson Crowley is one of the best at the Chardonnay game and this entry level wine performs at lofty levels for its price point.

First thing we must state, Oregon Chardonnay is NOT the butterbomb California versions. Taking more of a cue from Burgundy and done in small lots, our Chards are quickly forging their own identities with finesse, tension and depth. Aged 14 months in neutral barrels (translation, no new oak!)) which allows for intensity and richness but none of the intrusive oaky smell, this wine is redolent of mineral, freshly cut flowers, tangerine and lemon aromas. On the palate, it exudes the fleshiness that is the 2014 vintage. Exciting and layered, but with electricity and breadth of flavor and character. Drink now through 2020 with grilled white fish like sea bass or sole.
