COTES-DE-GASCOGNE
GROS MANSENG
$11.99 BTL./$143.88 CASE

Foghorn Leghorn often would say and stutter, well I-I-I do declare…well we-we-we do declare, this white wine is one of the most exciting that we have tasted for the impending warm weather!

Featuring 100% of the native Southwestern French grape Gros Manseng, passionfruit and lemon dominate the nose, while intriguing melon and pink grapefruit notes seemingly detonate in the mouth. Pairing it with exotically prepared seafood dishes always is fun, but don't be afraid to add a little spice to both your food and your wine-drinking repertoire!

2014 CHATEAU DE LASCAUX
LANGUEDOC ROUGE
$14.99 BTL./$179.88 CASE

Languedoc is one of the few remaining "sleeping giants" in the wine world. In the past and even still, this part of the South of France was known for producing large volumes of low quality wine. Today, thanks to the efforts of many talented winemakers, the region is producing world-class wines, discovering apex terroirs that have always been here but have never properly been utilized. One of the early leaders and inspirations of this movement is Jean-Benoit Cavalier who started his estate in 1984. For over 25 years we have been buying, selling and proudly drinking these wines and believe that you should be soing the same as well.

The 2014 Lascaux Languedoc (formerly known as Coteaux-du-Languedoc) Rouge is made from 60% Syrah, 30% Grenache & 10% Mourvedre. Forward and very flirtatious, this perennial value reveals lots of spicy black plum touched with the characteristic Syrah undertone of black olive and freshly ground pepper. In the mouth, it is a hell of a glass of wine with lush, easy-going fruit, zippy cherry and plenty of pepper. This yummy bottle just keeps calling you back for glass after glass after glass. Drink it with an assortment of dishes ranging from a burger to grilled pork chops to pizza to braised pot roast.

2012 PESQUIER GIGONDAS
SPECIAL! $24.99 BTL./$299.88 CASE

A very complete offering from a long time Gigondas traditionalist who is regarded as one of the region's finest.

Dominated by 75% Grenache and backed up nicely by 20% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre, this full-structured Rhone red is impeccably harmonious for a large wine. Marked by ample licorice, pronounced lavender, hot rock and a kiss of smoked meat, the aromas here are scary-impressive. Exquisite density, the texture is like a roller coaster at a great amusement park. Pretty irresistible, but deceptive grip and structure which the old vine depth of fruit and peppery notes submerges. The finish explodes and glides for an eternity with anise and lively Provencal terroir. Ungodly stuff for the price point and I recommended that you drink some now and drink some later. Will age nicely for 15 years, enjoy with lamb or steak dishes as well as tomato-based preparations.
